In a world of media consolidation and tightening budgets, training for radio and television station employees is often among the first thing to get cut. With fewer seminars, outdated training books and technology that evolves quickly, employees can easily be left behind. Enter the Massachusetts Broadcasters Association’s Continuing Education Reimbursement Program (CERP).
Through the CERP an MBA member can get reimbursed for just about any educational endeavor that will help them do their job better. The MBA will reimburse up to $500 for members to attend seminars or webinars, purchase training books, workshops, take post secondary classes and more.
These funds are awarded on a first come-first served basis so you’ll have to act fast!
Here’s what CodComm, Inc’s Larry Milesky said about the Continuing Education Reimbursement Program:
“I congratulate the MBA for recognizing and supporting the importance of ongoing education for its members with their Continuing Education Reimbursement Program. This initiative provided me an excellent opportunity to take a class in Microsoft Word that I have wanted to take for years.
The course was both a refresher in the basics of Microsoft Word as well as a tutorial in expanding its usefulness in such important areas as writing proposals, letters and multi-page documents.
I suggest that anyone who qualifies for this program take advantage of the MBA’s generosity and foresight.”
