Job description
WLNE-TV/ABC6 is growing our team of StormTracker Meteorologists in beautiful Rhode Island. We are looking for people who can track and forecast severe weather year-round in our market, tell compelling weather stories during slow weather periods and will be comfortable, relaxed in their delivery and presentation.
You will…
- Forecast weather for station broadcasts
- Cover severe weather accurately, urgently without causing unnecessary worry for viewers
- Post weather updates online and on social media
You have…
- 2-5 years’ experience as a weather anchor or reporter preferred
- AMS or NWA seal of approval preferred
- Strong interest in covering severe weather
- An appreciation for a fast-paced environment
- Willing to work various shifts
